UNDERGRADUATE NURSING STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP- INDIA

GINA Scholarship-USA

Georgia Indian Nurses Association (GINA) grants $300.00 scholarship to two eligible undergraduate or associate degree nursing students from the State of Georgia in USA during the GINA Nurse’s Day celebration every year.

 

How It Works

1. To be considered for the GINA scholarship, you must apply for it by April 10, 2025

2. Currently enrolled in a state approved Associate Degree, Diploma, Baccalaureate or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Program

3. Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 or its equivalent.

4. One letter of recommendation from the faculty/ instructor

5. Students must have at least one more year to complete the nursing program.

To Get Started

 Simply submit the required documents to ginascholarship2023@gmail.com by April 10, 2025

1. Completed and signed application form.

2. Transcript records (Mark Sheet) for the last two semesters or quarters or the year

3. Letter of Recommendation: Section A & B

4. 250-to-300-word essay on “Why did you choose Nursing?”

5. Complete the Photograph and Biodata Release Form

Decision 

The scholarship recipient will be notified by the awards and scholarship committee chair.

1. The decision will be made by April 10, 2025.
2. The award and scholarship committee decision will be final.
3. Scholarship recipient’s name, picture and biodata will be announced on the GINA website and during Nurses Day celebration!
4. We encourage the scholarship recipient to be present to accept the scholarship during the GINA Nurses Day celebration.

GINA Scholarship- INDIA

Georgia Indian Nurses Association (GINA) grants $300.00 scholarship to two eligible
undergraduate, diploma or associate degree nursing students from India during the GINA Nurse’s Day celebration every year.

 

Selection Criteria

1. Currently enrolled in a state approved Associate Degree, Diploma, Baccalaureate or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Program

2. Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 or its equivalent.

3. One letter of recommendation from the faculty/instructor

4. Student must have at least one more year to complete the nursing program.

For nursing students (from schools of nursing and colleges of nursing) in India, an equivalent of grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher is required. The date of receiving application starts from February and deadline for submission of application with all the required documents is April 10, 2025. The chairperson of the GINA Awards & Scholarship Committee will notify award recipient Two (2) weeks before the Nurses Day. The scholarship will be presented at the GINA Nurses Day which will be held every year. If the recipient is not present at the event, it will be mailed to the recipient.

Please submit the following documents to the e-mail below:
1. Completed and signed application form
2. Transcript records (Mark Sheet) for the last two semesters or quarters or the year
3. Letter of Recommendation: Section A & B
4. Essay (200-300 words) Please include why do you chose nursing, family background- parents, what do they do, number of brothers/sisters, what do they do, plans after completing nursing- teaching, bedside, leadership etc.
Please submit completed application form along with the required documents via e-mail to Chairperson of the Awards & Scholarship Committee at ginascholarship2023@gmail.com on or before April 10, 2025.
